Chinese Foreign Minister Heads to Europe for Key Strategic Talks
Wang’s week-long itinerary includes stops in Germany, France, and Belgium, where he will engage in key strategic discussions with European leaders.
In Brussels, Wang is scheduled to meet with EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas for the 13th round of the China-EU High-Level Strategic Dialogue. His visit comes just weeks ahead of a major China-EU summit expected to take place in Beijing in July.
While in the Belgian capital, Wang will also hold separate meetings with Belgium’s Prime Minister Bart De Wever and Foreign Minister Maxime Prevot.
In Germany, Wang will visit at the invitation of Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul. The two are set to co-chair the eighth round of the China-Germany Strategic Dialogue on Diplomacy and Security.
Wang’s final stop will be Paris, where he will meet with French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot. The pair will lead a high-level China-France dialogue focused on enhancing people-to-people exchanges.
